Gold filled is a closer material to pure gold but without the high price tag. Yes these pieces can be exposed to more conditions than gold plated jewelry, but they will eventually wear out. While they will hold up longer being exposed to water, sweat, etc; each person's body chemistry is different and each person will expose their jewelry to different conditions. Your gold filled jewelry could last you a lifetime, we just want our customers to be mindful of how to make them last as long as possible.
Sterling silver: It is recommended to restrict contact with water, chemicals, and other elements. Store in an airtight package.
